BRUNNER PENINSULA WALK
This walk starts at the western side of Kerr Bay. It follows the peninsula around into West Bay, twice crossing the Alpine Fault. Return via Baxter Street or Cotterell Street and View Road. Panels along the way give an insight into the history of the area. For a longer walk (1 h 30 min) continue to the next junction and turn right,
returning to Kerr Bay via Rotoiti Lodge and Ward Street. This walk has a good variety of native plants and several easy access points to the lake shore.
Lovely easy walk along the right side of Lake Rotoiti, very enjoyable.
This walk leads right along the peninsula as you follow the track, you will lots of bird life, and enjoy the views along the way.
Take your time to stop and hear the sounds of nature while enjoying the amazing scenery.
A great family walk for all to enjoy, as well as anybody who loves walking, hiking in nature.
Heaps of birdlife to see and hear such as bellbirds, fantails and Tui's
Light shimmers and gleams through the native bush awesome.
Sunlight finds a gap through the tall native trees along the way.
History about Mt Roberts Revegetation started in 1880 by Jean and George Lyon, at the lookout point on the peninsular.
