MARUIA FALLS
Easy accessible from the SH65, powerful Maruia Falls is located on the Maruia River, 5 minutes’ walk from the parking. Accompanied by a perfect picnic area, it’s a relaxing stop between Greymouth and Hanmer Springs. This waterfall is included into New Zealand Must See Waterfall’s list.
An easy walking 5-minutes’ return walk leads you to the waterfall’s upper lookout platform, then to the waterfall’s base.

The falls are dramatic and fast flowing as the past of the drop and cause eddies.
This fall is located on the lewis pass and is easy to get to from the carpark.
The view is wide and able to be seen on good days from the viewing stages along the river.
