Avalanche Creek Falls

Avalanche Creek Falls

Today was the day that I returned with a friend to Arthur’s Pass Village to discover and find Avalanche Creek Falls, previously I had missed out, but today with information from the Visitor Centre found the trail and set off to see the falls which was only a ten minutes walk up and along the Millennium Track which starts opposite the visitor centre going left along the bush line under the hillside covered in native bush and tress. First we came across the stones historic bridge which crosses the falls and the lower level, and then a hop and skip around the corner we reached the upper platform to were we could see clearly the upper two levels of the Avalanche Creek Falls. Another spot I was told about was going to the Arthur’s Pass Chapel I could see the falls through the chapel window, this was true as you get a beautiful view of the falls surrounded by loads of beech trees and native bush in the sunshine. Awesome and so easy to get to and enjoy for those who enjoy going out into our countryside and walks.

Accessible for all ages.
