Last Saturday I drove out of Christchurch and into the countryside of Hawarden to visit Flaxmere Gardens owed by Penny Zino. This garden has been created with many years of hard work, passion and creative planting to enable many visitor to come and see it for themselves myself included. It has amazing views out to the mountains, ponds, and pathways that allow you to wander along through various sections like natives, woodland, and beautiful lawns with trees and shrubs, flowers of all kinds giving a tranquil, yet colourful backdrop to the scenery beyond. Well Worth a visit for anyone interesting in gardening or just of a trip out.
